The fabric of this suit is from huge plastic bags wich are known all over the world. They are used in many different logistic contexts. Besides they don’t have an officially correct name but transport a racist stigma. Often they are called “polish suitcase” or “Turkish Bag”. In "Integration" Manfred kirschner and Jens Engel have been showing the suits in fashion performances and film, to solve them out of the racist relation and put them into fashionable haute couture.

Liebe im öffentlichen Raum, mit Marc Haverkort, Bremen/ Rotterdam 2001-2002
"Love in the Public Space" is a performance project in cooperation with Marc Haverkort for the the cities Bremen and Rotterdam, where Marc and myself lived. We were searching for free and unused public spaces in the Cities. There we moved and kissed each other, using our bodies to form temporarily sculptures and took Photos of this. We wanted to heighten awareness towards open, neutral and unoccupied spaces in these Cities, as well as the opportunities they offer for activities. Some of these places are now occupied with art for the public space or have been built on. We used a 6x6 Camera to document our sculptural performance. We had some shows in which we installed our photographic documentation of the kissing performance. One of them took place in the city gallery of Bremen ( Städtische Galerie Bremen) in 2001, and one in 2002, in the town hall of Rotterdam.
